Congressman Joe Wilson Rolls up his Sleeves at Butler Marine

Joe Wilson and Butler Marine employee change the oil on an outboard engine at the small business on Lady’s Island.

Congressman Joe Wilson embarked on another voyage around South Carolina’s Second District, where he met with small businesses in multiple locations. His “Joe Means Jobs” bus tour made several stops in the Lowcountry last Friday, allowing workers and small business leaders in Beaufort and Bluffton to make their voices heard.

Joe started the day at Berry Island Café, and then headed to Hobbit Hill Daycare, where he read, “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” to a room full of toddlers.  He then went to Butler Marine to assist with an outboard engine boat repair. After all the hard work, Joe traveled to Bluffton and ate at Bluffton BBQ, one of the Congressman’s favorite eateries in the Lowcountry. He finished up the day at Contemporary 1 Furniture in Bluffton.

Joe not only stopped in at these small businesses and talked about economic policies – he actually rolled up his sleeves and helped with tasks that needed to be done.

At Butler Marine, Joe helped do a maintenance check on a boat motor with a Butler employee.  Joe and company also checked out some of the nice-looking hulls at Butler Marine.
